about

“Snatch A Style” is a short bridging track, a dub mirror to Keith LeBlanc’s “These Sounds” which features earlier on the compilation. A short snippet of rhythm found on one of the many decaying quarter-inch reels in the label’s vaults that are currently being lovingly transferred and restored to life by DJ and On-U archivist Patrick Dokter. Most likely caught on tape whilst warming up for another session, in less than a minute it ably shows off the killer chops of Roots Radics and Dub Syndicate mainman, Lincoln Valentine ‘Style’ Scott. Tragically, like Far I before him, Scott was also gunned down at his home in Jamaica - an incomprehensible act of brutality and a huge waste of musical talent.
